Saiysad National Park is located northeast of the city of Taif and is one of the most important tourist areas in Saudi Arabia characteristic of its beautiful nature.
The park stands out as a nature reserve surrounded by mountains covered with dense trees and vast green areas, and features natural springs.
Sisad National Park is home to a number of valleys such as Wadi Al Araj and Sisad Valley, as well as the well-known Al Aarj Valley.
The park got its name because of its association with the famous archaeological dam Saysd, which was established by the companion Muawiya bin Abi Sufyan in 677 AD.
The area was restored with its monuments in 1998, and was opened to visitors in 1999.
